"Where Silence Is Expressed"

At Home Satsang with

with Don Oakley

Tuesday Evenings at 6:30 pm EDT

"Listening to Silence"

During this time of relative self-isolation and uncertainty, Don Oakley will be presenting a series of online talks (with an opportunity for questions) via www.Zoom.com every Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm EDT for the foreseeable future. We have the opportunity to explore our deeper Nature during this time rather than dwelling entirely in fear and anxiety. We must, of course, take care of our bodies and be prudent to the extent we must venture out in the world, but that still leaves considerable space to venture into the mystery of our own being. With impermanence staring us in the face, motivation may be heightened to find the timeless, the unchanging, that place where fear has no foothold.

Don Oakley is the author of "It's Time to Wake Up Now: The Top Ten Myths that Can Hijack Spiritual Awakening," a five star rated book on Amazon, Founding Director of Well Being Foundation and Director of Adyashanti's Open Gate Sangha non-profit organization.

Silence is emphasized in many traditions. It is much more than spending time in Nature or sitting in meditation and not talking as helpful as both those activities are. True Silence is both a doorway to the divine and a fragrance of the divine. This retreat will explore the depth available through silence.

Schedule & Format

These online discourses will be every Tuesday evening from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm EDT. They will be online using zoom.com. This is free to access and will be explained below. There will typically be a brief guided inquiry to start, then a spontaneous presentation by Don and an opportunity to ask questions or suggest a topic to explore.

The presentation will be non-denominational and non-dogmatic. It will be a direct inquiry into our deepest Nature. The presentations will not be sequential so you may join on any Tuesday. All are welcome.
