Retreat Overview

ChiRunning and ChiWalking combine the ancient mind-body principles of T’ai Chi with running and walking for an energized, balanced body and a clear, focused mind.

During this retreat, you’ll learn to move naturally, smoothly and without stress or strain to your muscles and joints. With attention to posture, balance and mindful awareness, you’ll discover how less effort can create more ease and enjoyment.

This 3-Night in-person workshop offers lifelong skills for health, vitality and mindful living.

Who This Workshop Is For

This retreat is for people of all fitness levels, from beginners to long-distance runners and walkers.

It is especially helpful if you want to improve posture, strengthen your core and reduce stress on your hips, legs, knees and feet. Mild injuries such as minor knee, hip or back pain are not a deterrent, since injury prevention is a central focus of ChiRunning and ChiWalking.

This workshop is not recommended if you have any long-term difficulties walking, such as needing a cane or have other walking or running disabilities.

If you are looking for a gentle, mindful and joyful way to move, this workshop is for you.

Reading Danny and Katherine's "ChiWalking" or "ChiRunning" books prior to the workshop is recommended but not required.
