"This Deep Drink"
a Three-Night Silent Retreat

with Alaya Dickinson & Corrine Champigny
February 29 - March 3, 2024

Corrine Champigny

We welcome you to join us for this very special offering of mind, body and spirit, this deep drink into true nature. We will open to what arises and deepens in Satsang and extending it into the silent depths of our being in gentle Presence Yoga.

Satsang means a meeting in truth where we find inquiry brings us tenderly inside everything. Tenderness brings us inside our thoughts, our beliefs, our pain, our suffering and finally into our hearts where we can no longer remain separate. Tenderness can open to the depths and the crevices of darkness revealing how we have been hiding from our heart. In this way we are in presence, directly experiencing what is actively unmet, untouched and unloved within.

As the heart opens darkness comes into the light and the healing arises from the unguarded heart. Humbleness and tenderness touch what suffers like water to fire or as a lit candle that melts away wax; all the structures in mind and body in a holy untying revealing what has always been here all along to be recovered.

About the Retreat

Over the course of the retreat we will open to what arises and deepens in Satsang and extending it into the silent depths of our being in gentle Presence Yoga. A simple yoga that welcomes release. As the flow continues opening to what arises in sacred yoga there is the pouring into Satsang. This movement and flow back and forth is offered to be organically supporting, nourishing and deepening like a nest, an embrace, a sacred hug.

Here we are creating conditions that reach the pain body that is often overlooked. Grace, gravity and an open heart untie the knots of the conditioned pain body. All together through the flow of the weekend, we are in service to what is arising, in recognition to serve the awakening from the dream of the separate self.

“I bow to inquiry deepening as a sacred whole body full spectrum unfolding.  I am drawn to be of service to not only questions of the mind but the opening of the heart and with that the pain body that arises to return home"

About Alaya Dickinson

Alaya first experienced brief glimpses leading to a spontaneous awakening in 1997.  This left her with a burning fire for truth and a determination to find a release from her suffering.  She was drawn Satsang and to the feet of her beloved Neelam: a teacher of the Ramana Maharshi lineage.  From that very first meeting there arose a profound recognition of unconditional love but also a strong sense of separation and resistance.  However, Alaya instinctively knew that penetrating the resistance was exactly what was needed to penetrate the suffering.  With Neelam’s unconditional love this separation fell away shortly after the birth of Alaya’s first child in 2001.

With a new husband and baby, Alaya moved to Asheville.  She found in her daily experience of being a householder and working mother, that there was much abiding awareness/living in present Reality. But the non-abiding dream state kept arising which created an even deeper desire to investigate what was still appearing as separation. She realized that what was needed was already in the life she was leading and that every moment was a gift and opportunity to return to the natural awakened Self.  “My husband, my children, my job, everything is my teacher, and true love is laying down whatever pulls on you, turning back to this life with an open heart and open palms”.

With the realization that ordinary everyday life was sacred and that each moment was the Beloved pointing us home, she continued to question and inquire into her ideas, perspectives, and feelings until the veil of separation finally fell away.  “With tenderness and openness, conditioning can unmanifest -leaving what naturally remains, as stillness, presence and love”.  As people began to ask her to teach, Grace appeared as the non-dual teacher Adyashanti and with his support and friendship she began to give Satsang in 2011. “Grace is like gravity, it will continue to pull you within for the truth of who you are.

It isn’t found in doing.  It is found in the silence – in stillness.”     Alaya

About Corrine Champigny

After an awakening on a 30-day silent retreat in 1993 when her sense of personal self fell away, Corrine’s life shifted from being a singer-songwriter in Nashville to opening her first yoga and meditation center called House of Bliss on the famed Music Row. Her journey began with meditation until she experienced a unique yoga class that felt like a deep meditation for her body. She initially studied with Rama Berch, also known as Swami Nirmalananda, the founder of Svaroopa Yoga and also the founding director of the Yoga Alliance. This eventually became the basis of the Presence Yoga she now shares which is a simple yoga that welcomes release.

Corrine’s first spiritual teacher was Deepak Chopra and she moved to San Diego in 2001 to work at the Chopra Center for Well-Being where she was the Director of Sales and Marketing and eventually co-founded and developed the Chopra Yoga program and trained others to become yoga teachers. Her search for Truth brought her to India in the year 2000 where she found a deep connection to the teachings of Ramana Maharishi and the sacred mountain Arunachala. Traveling to India annually, Corrine is the co-founder of Global Watch Foundation and is the Mommy to 33 orphaned children in the holy city of Tiruvanammalai. Knowing that her own life’s path has been her awakening, Corrine enjoys sharing the yoga, meditation and mindful awareness that have been helpful on her journey. In 2011 she co-founded The Ivy House in Nashville, a community gathering space for like-minded individuals.  Learn more about Corrine by clicking HERE.

I am deeply honored and excited to be of service to all who attend This Deep Drink, to my teacher and friend Alaya, who is beautifully ruthless with bowing to truth and to Well Being Retreat Center that supports us all.”   -  Corrine
