Getting to Well Being Retreat Center
We are located in Tazewell, Tennessee in the Cumberland Mountains if northeastern Tennessee 50 miles north of Knoxville; about 2¼ hours west of Asheville, NC, two hours southeast of Lexington, KY, three hours north of Chattanoga, TN and about 4 hours east of Nashville. Local Driving Directions
From Tazewell:
From the intersection of Highway 25E and Highway 33 in Tazewell, go North on the combined Highways 25E/33 just 1/10th of a mile (to the first signaled intersection) and turn right onto Cedar Fork Road (State Route 345). Go 8.1 miles on Cedar Fork Road – there are small green Mile Marker signs on the right side of the road – and then turn left onto Narrows Road, a graveled, one-lane County Road. You’ll see our "Welcome to Well Being Retreat Center" sign at the entrance to Narrows Road.
On Narrows Road:
Please drive slow and be patient with cattle – Narrows Road goes through our neighbor’s pastures. Please do not disturb our neighbors by stopping to ask further directions; be brave and continue on Narrows Road for 1 mile until you pass through two rock entry pillars and see Well Being's entry kiosk. At the Kiosk, bear right though the gate and follow the gravel drive along the river. (For scheduled events, we’ll put out small directional signs with our logo to follow.)
Entering Well Being Retreat Center
When you pass between two rock pillars you will be on the grounds of the Well Being Retreat Center. At our Entry Kiosk (pictured to the left) bear right through the gate and you will see the Powell River to your right. Follow the small directional signs to the main Conference Building if you are coming to a group event. If you are stopping by or renting a cabin, please come to Well Being's Office to check-in.To get to our office, take your second right after the gate. You can park in the gravel parking lot near the silo. Well Being Retreat Center's Office is in the building next to the parking lot. (There are also men's and women's bathrooms there if you've had a long drive.)

We want to ensure that we are here to greet you when you arrive, so before you drive all the way up here, please make prior confirmed arrangements.
If you are on the road headed this way and need to call, it would be best to call in Tazewell, that is, before getting onto Cedar Fork Road, where cell phone service is very patchy. Once you get to Narrows Road (and on the grounds of Well Being Retreat Center), Verizon is the only cell phone provider that works (in most, but not all, places). More on-site phone guidance here.

Driving Directions from Other Cities
Knoxville Airport to Tazewell
From the Knoxville Airport (TYS) take Route 129 North 11.9 miles towards Knoxville
Merge Right onto I-40 East towards Asheville for 0.7 miles (stay right),
Merge Right onto I-275 North towards Lexington for 3.1 miles
Continue straight as I-275 becomes I-75. Continue on I-75 for another 3.9 miles
Take Exit 112 and turn right onto Route 131 (Emory Road)
Continue on Emory Road for 5.1 miles
Turn left onto Route 33, Continue North on Route 33 for 36.6 miles through Maynardville and then Tazewell
Route 25E will enter from the right; continue straight on Route 33 for 0.1 miles to the next traffic signal
Turn right onto Cedar Fork Road (State Route 345)

Driving Directions from Asheville, NC to Tazewell
Take I-40 West for 76 miles,
Merge onto I-81 North via Exit 421 towards Bristol, Tennessee for 7.9 miles,
Take US-25E exit (Exit 8) towards Morristown for 0.2 miles,
Keep right at the fork to get onto US-25E for 38.5 miles,
At the T-intersection in Tazewell, turn right for 0.1 miles to the first traffic signal,
Turn Right onto Cedar Fork Road (State Route 345),

Driving Directions from Atlanta to Tazewell
Take I-75 North for 101 miles,
Merge onto I-640 East towards Lexington via Exit 385 for 3 miles,
Exit right onto I-75 North towards Lexington. Continue on I-75 North for 4.8 miles
Take Exit 112 and turn right onto Route 131 (Emory Road)
Continue on Emory Road for 5.1 miles
Turn left onto Route 33, Continue North on Route 33 for 36.6 miles through Maynardville and then Tazewell
Route 25E will enter from the right; continue straight on Route 33 for 0.1 miles to next traffic signal
Turn right onto Cedar Fork Road (State Route 345)

Driving Directions from Nashville to Tazewell
Take I-40 East for 176 miles,
Merge onto I-640 via Exit 385 for for 3 miles,
Exit right onto I-75 North towards Lexington. Continue on I-75 North for 4.8 miles
Take Exit 112 and turn right onto Route 131 (Emory Road)
Continue on Emory Road for 5.1 miles
Turn left onto Route 33, Continue North on Route 33 for 36.6 miles through Maynardville and then Tazewell
Route 25E will enter from the right; continue straight on Route 33 for 0.1 miles to next traffic signal
Turn right onto Cedar Fork Road (State Route 345)

Driving Directions from Lexington, KY to Tazewell
Take 1-75 South for 82 miles
Take US-25E exit, Exit 29 toward Corbin for 0.3 miles
Turn Left onto US-25E South for 59 miles,
As you approach Tazewell, turn Left at the light onto Cedar Fork Road (Route 345). (If you come to the next intersection in Tazewell where you would have to take a left turn to stay on US-25E, you have gone one intersection (0.1 miles) too far.)

Take 1-81 South for 207 miles,
Take Route 160 exit, Exit 12 towards Morristown for 0.2 miles
Turn Right onto Route 160 towards Morristown for 3.2 miles,
Merge onto US-25E North for 34.4 miles,
Turn Right onto US-25E / Route 33 for 0.1 miles,
Turn Right at the first light onto Cedar Fork Road (Route 345),
